Desert Afforestry
Forests capture 1.5 million tons of CO2 per square mile and there are millions of square miles of idle desert. A desert in Sharjah, UAE has our Smart Fore.st technology installed. For a few hundred dollars per unit, with minimal human interaction, we generate 20 liters of distilled water per square meter per day. Our technology has been evaluated by a major US National Laboratory.

Nicholas has been a serial-entrepreneur since his first startup concept was funded and he left his software-development position at Deloitte Consulting. Since that time he has worked to refine his business skills, serving at different times as CTO, CEO, and Founder of Auditude. A part of Auditude (called IntoNow) was spun-off in 2010 and was acquired by Yahoo in 2011. In November that same year, Auditude was acquired by Adobe Systems. Nicholas is a BS/BA/MBA, angel investor, father, and a trained Climate Reality Leader.
Hill Kemp
CTO
Hill is the inventor/developer of SR solar desalination technology. Over 12 years, he has taken the technology from initial testing through evolution, patenting in the US and internationally, and supervision of shop assembly and field construction of the first operating systems. Hill has direct operating, research and troubleshooting experience with over 50 chemical, petrochemical and refining processes and extensive experience in designing, operating and problem solving the patented solar desalination process. He has 2 granted US patents and 3 international patents.
Tianmei Seet
Executive Assistant
Tianmei is a native Chinese who naturalized and now speaks better English than her husband Nik. She keeps the company - and household - together. She is currently part time at Los Alamos Public Schools in addition to her duties at Undesert.

Of course there are many, many, other potential solutions to our planet's many, many, problems. But which ones sustainably produce a precious asset (water) while reducing the chief culprit behind climate change (CO2)?
Dry & Getting Drier
Extreme weather is here to stay, more powerful storms, hotter, drier summers, catastrophic flooding... This global imbalance needs to be corrected. We are proposing turning ~4% of our unused desert land into productive agricultural land. That would be enough to solve our CO2 problem, and then some.
Don't we have tons of water?
Not really. The USGS calculated that the amount of water in all the oceans, rolled up into a ball is about the diameter of Texas. The amount of fresh water from streams or snow that could be used for agriculture is the medium ball, and our clean drinking water is that tiny dot!
